Imperial Majesty Cruise Line

The grand tradition of the classic ocean voyage continuous aboard the Imperial Majesty's "Regal Empress". Her "Old World Craftsmanship" and intimate size make her one of the unique passenger cruise liners based in the United States. The "Regal Empress" takes the voyager back to the "Golden Age" of ocean travel, an era when lavish accoutrements were standard shipboard requirements. She was originally built on the Island of Greece for North Atlantic sailing between New York, Halifax and Southampton. Her inviting swimming pool, spacious outdoor deck areas and refreshing air-conditioning would make her destined to reside in the warm Caribbean.

In 1997 the "Regal Empress" underwent a refit in Mobile, Alabama, that brought her up to the latest international standards. Other upgrades included a new buffet are, a playroom for kids, an internet cafe to satisfy the needs of modern and old fashion cruisers. At the same time our attention was paid to maintain the vintage features and ambience to compliment the ships original history. These included rich wood paneling, our old fashioned enclosed Promenade, the elegant main dining room with its view of the ocean and a significant number of very large staterooms.

The "Regal Empress" was sent to dry-dock, while being spruced with brand new carpeting and many other interior modifications.

She also provides a "Spa and Beauty Salon" which has been relocated from its Upper Deck to the Promenade Deck, originally the ships cinema balcony area, a larger space for those seeking beauty and skin treatments. The Kid's "Playroom" has since then been moved to the Spa area and the "Internet Cafe" is now at the forward port Promenade. The "Photo Gallery", relocated from the forward Restaurant Deck to the lovely "Caribbean Dining Room", one of our most prestigious vintage spaces. This room has been screened in for use as an extra tariff gourmet restaurant. In our restaurant we upgraded to wood-toned chairs evoking the original Greek line fixtures. Throughout the ship we furnished olive brown and blue carpeting to accentuate the walls of the ship.
